Crooked for you

"Crooked for you" is the third studio album of the Swiss rock band "Death by Chocolate". Graphic designer Alain Aebersold had the honor of designing the cover artwork for it. Inspired by landscapes of imaginary worlds, the design underlines the album title and gives it even more meaning. You can see a crooked visual on the cover which transports you through a perfect sphere and when opening the booklet you’ll get guided into unforeseen and striking aesthetics of a fictive world. It allows flexibility and in the same time continuity in the reinterpretation of the concept, following the regularly updated recipes. The chosen brand name "Feiner Herr" has two meanings in old German language and describes both a gentleman and/or a gourmet.

Mindpalace

Mindpalace is an edutainment-bureau based in Moscow. The authors of the project Ira and Slava debunk the stereotype that lectures are boring. They come up with themes and give lectures about the coolest ideas in the history of mankind on different sites of Moscow in the summertime, and record video podcasts in winter. As I’ve been charged with the positive attitude of the founders of the Mindpalace edutainment bureau and the concept of the project itself, I decided that the guys themselves should be in the center of attention of the identity. And in graphic language they became the characters

Taikin

Taikin is a high-end Asian restaurant in the city of Doral, FL. The visual identity was developed through illustrations and graphic elements. The name of the restaurant is the Japanese word for “good fortune” and it’s also related to the Tanuki; an emblematic character on the Japanese mythology who represents prosperity and wealth. Based on that synergy, the concept brings to life the significance of both elements and creates the graphic story that represents it.
